Grimacing Gargoyle

Yesterday we were on our way to the very best bakery in America, when I happen to see this gargoyle. We were in Adams Morgan, along New Hampshire. Mr. Gargoyle was guarding a red brick walk-op. I think this guy needed something from Sticky Fingers almost as much as we did! Sticky Fingers is located on 18th street between T and Florida. And they really do have the best buns in town ;) To take a peak, go here!

I like how he has a chain around his neck that's not attached to anything. It's like he's a pet gargoyle that escaped.

For some reason he doesn't look as fierce as I thought a gargoyle will look like =)

If you like baked goods, try Marvelous Market on Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase. As a bonus, it's near Politics & Prose, the best bookshop in the DC metropolitan area.

I love gargoyles, and this is a great one. P.S. There are Marvelous Markets closer than Chevy Chase, like the one near Dupont Circle and one on 18th near I.

I love gargoyles too.. it was fun to see this guy "guarding" a house!

most of the baked goods consumed in my house are homemade... from bread to sweets... but, if we would never turn down a trip to Sticky Fingers. =)

All their baked goods are delicious.. And they are all made without dairy, eggs or other animal products.
