pretty purple and prickly

Today I saw the perfect shot, but unfortunately forgot to bring my camera. No worries, I can return another day.
It was much cooler today, in the lower fifties. It was mid seventies yesterday. For today's picture I grabbed a shot from my files. It was taken on my birthday, last year, June 21. This is just a picture of some flowers, or perhaps even weeds, that I saw before we headed into Rock Creek Park.
